DKM Publishing Australia — Terms & Conditions

1. General Terms

By accessing or using BendigoGoldMiningHistory.com.au and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

2. Pricing

• All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
• Prices may change without notice; the price charged will be the price displayed at the time of order placement.

3. Payment

Payment must be made in full before dispatch. We accept major credit/debit cards, PayPal and other secure gateways offered at checkout. All transactions are processed securely through our payment processor.

4. Pre-Orders

• Pre-orders are charged at time of purchase.
• Estimated release/delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
• Customers will be notified of significant delays. Pre-orders may be cancelled for a full refund up to 7 days before publication date.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are dispatched within 3 business days after payment confirmation. Shipping is handled via Australia Post or reputable couriers with tracking.

• Metro Australia: 3–5 business days
• Regional Australia: 5–10 business days
• Remote areas: 10–15 business days
• International shipping: available; delivery times and charges vary by destination.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information. We are not liable for delays caused by incorrect addresses, customs, or carrier issues.

6. Returns & Refunds

• Returns accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is unused and in original condition (personalised or signed copies excluded unless faulty).
• Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect.
• Refunds are processed within 7 business days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.

7. Damaged or Lost Goods

Report damaged or lost items within 7 days of the expected delivery date. Photographic evidence may be required. Where a claim is approved, we will replace the item or issue a full refund. We are not responsible once a carrier confirms successful delivery.

8. Book Donation Program

Donation purchases result in one book shipped to the purchaser and one donated to an approved educational institution or community organisation. Donated books are non-refundable. Donation confirmation and tax receipt (where applicable) are available on request.

9. Privacy

Personal information is collected solely for order processing, delivery, and customer communication. We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers necessary to fulfil orders (payment processors, couriers) and is stored securely in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Marketing emails are sent with opt-out options.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, images and book materials on this site are protected by copyright. Purchases grant personal reading rights only. Reproduction or distribution without written permission is prohibited.

11. Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Customers should contact us to attempt resolution first; we aim to respond and resolve complaints within 14 business days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to Consumer Affairs Victoria or other relevant dispute resolution bodies.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this website. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
